UF PRO Hosts First International Striker Challenge
KOMENDA, SLOVENIA (29.5.2024)
Over 100 contestants from across Europe gathered at UF PRO’s headquarters for the inaugural international Striker Challenge, an event featuring fourteen rigorous challenges spread across an eight-kilometre course.
Inside UF PRO’s International Striker Challenge
The first edition of the UF PRO Striker Challenge, initially intended for local participants, took place last year. Based on the positive feedback, UF PRO expanded the event, adding more challenging tasks and opening it to international competitors.
Competitors from across Europe tackled a demanding eight-kilometre course featuring fourteen challenges divided into five categories. These included overcoming obstacles like walls and tunnels, providing medic treatment, observation and object spotting, heavy object throwing, military jumps, crawling and ammo carrying, and precision shooting.
To add to the difficulty, each participant carried a ten-kilogram backpack throughout the course.
Participant Experiences
The event was open to everyone, from tactical operators and military or law enforcement personnel to passionate individuals with good physical fitness and tactical skills. Even man’s best friends were welcome. Participants could compete individually or in groups of three.
René from Bernau shared his thoughts on the Striker Challenge:
“The weather was great, the route and the tasks were really difficult at times and we also reached our limits. A great experience to try it out.”
Post-Challenge Mingling
Following the challenge and the announcement of winners, participants enjoyed a barbecue and beer while taking in the beautiful scenery overlooking the Alps. They also had the opportunity to participate in various on-site activities.
Additionally, the UF PRO store was open, allowing participants to explore their favorite gear and learn about the latest product innovations.
