Mehler Protection to Supply 1,800 Operational Waistcoats to Zurich City Police

Mehler Protection, a leading provider of personal ballistic protection and part of Mehler Systems, will supply the Zurich City Police with a new generation of operational waistcoats.
Modern Equipment for Police Operations
Over the coming four years, Mehler Protection will deliver 1,800 waistcoats with integrated soft armour packs (SAP).
The new waistcoats are designed to provide Zurich City Police officers with reliable protection, enhanced visibility, and the flexibility required for a wide range of operational tasks.
Group Expertise Integrated
The project reflects the effective collaboration within Mehler Systems. The waistcoats will be complemented by advanced belts supplied by Lindnerhof, the Group’s specialist in load-bearing systems and tactical equipment.
This ensures that the officers benefit from a well-integrated equipment solution.
Increased Visibility and Public Reassurance
A key element of the new waistcoats is improved visibility. Lemon-coloured lettering on the chest, back, and shoulders ensures that officers are clearly identifiable.
Additional visibility elements can be added as needed to further support both officer safety and public confidence.
Adaptable Protection for Everyday Use
In addition to enhanced visibility, the waistcoats offer a high degree of adaptability. They can be reinforced with ballistic plates and fitted with arm protectors for additional coverage.
The modular design allows for tailoring to operational requirements through the attachment of further tactical equipment.
Continued Trust from European Law Enforcement
Mehler Protection has been working in partnership with the Zurich City Police since 2016. The new contract once again reflects Mehler Protection’s position as a trusted partner of leading European law enforcement agencies.
