UF PRO Wraps Up Pro’s Guide to Tracking with Rangers and K9s Campaign, Raising EUR 31,890 for Conservation Efforts

KOMENDA, SLOVENIA (26.03.2025)
UF PRO has successfully concluded its Pro’s Guide to Tracking with Rangers and K9s campaign, an initiative designed to highlight the crucial role of tactical expertise in wildlife conservation efforts.
Over the course of the campaign, viewers were given an exclusive look into anti-poaching operations, featuring tactical tracking techniques, K9 units, and the collaboration between rangers, advanced technology, and local communities working to combat poaching in challenging terrains.
Insight into Anti-Poaching Operations
The campaign, spearheaded by former Royal Netherlands Marine and founder of LEAD Conservation, Boris Vos, brought viewers up close with the realities of anti-poaching efforts in South Africa.
Alongside Vos, the campaign featured the expertise of Colin Patrick from Colin Patrick Training, who shared invaluable insights into the role of highly trained K9 units in tracking poachers across vast, rugged landscapes. The series illustrated how these dogs and their handlers play an indispensable part in stopping poaching and protecting endangered wildlife.
In a special behind-the-scenes episode, Boris Vos opened up about the challenges faced during the filming of the series. The segment provided a candid look at what it takes to capture the reality of anti-poaching operations, from navigating difficult terrain to coordinating with local teams. Vos also emphasised the importance of raising awareness about poaching, stressing that every effort to support conservation makes a tangible difference.
Raising Support for Conservation Efforts
The campaign not only raised awareness but also provided direct support for conservation efforts. Through the sale of the exclusive Ranger’s Band, UF PRO and its community raised EUR 31,890 for LEAD Conservation, which aids in training and equipping rangers on the frontlines of the fight against poaching.
This collective effort, powered by an overwhelming response from the tactical and outdoor communities, was instrumental in the success of the campaign.
UF PRO is proud to recognise the key partners who stood by them throughout this mission. Their commitment—whether by purchasing wristbands or making impactful donations—played an essential role in amplifying support for those working tirelessly to protect endangered species. Mehler Systems Group, including Mehler Protection and Lindnerhof, Trooper, and BMP were crucial contributors to this effort.
A Continuing Mission: Supporting Anti-Poaching Efforts Beyond the Campaign
"This campaign was more than just an inside look at tactical tracking—it was about making a real difference. The support from the UF PRO community has been incredible, and we’re proud to stand with those risking everything to protect wildlife," said Boris Vos. "Poaching is an ongoing battle, and every contribution helps keep rangers trained, equipped, and ready."
Although the campaign has officially ended, the mission continues. The Ranger’s Band remains available for purchase, with 100% of proceeds still going directly to LEAD Conservation. UF PRO encourages those who want to make a meaningful impact to continue supporting the cause and ensure that these dedicated teams can carry on their vital work.
