UF PRO is launching a new campaign, Pro’s Guide to Tracking with Rangers and K9s, showcasing the crucial role of tactical tracking in wildlife conservation.
The series highlights the expertise and dedication of those on the frontlines, using advanced tracking techniques to safeguard endangered species.
The campaign follows Boris Vos, a former Royal Netherlands Marine and founder of LEAD Conservation, and his team as they navigate South Africa’s harsh landscapes to track and deter illegal activities.
Featuring a combination of K9 units, local community support, and advanced technology like helicopters, the series demonstrates how tactical skills are instrumental in wildlife protection.
“It’s not just about the chase, it’s about making a real impact. This is about saving species from extinction,” says Vos. “We’re using our skills to track, catch, and stop threats—and we’re showing the world how tactical expertise can make the difference.”
The campaign premieres on February 12, 2025, with one episode released each week for a total of four episodes.
Each installment provides an in-depth look at the challenges faced by rangers and conservationists, from extreme heat to unforgiving terrain, and how tactical expertise helps them overcome these obstacles.
To further the mission, UF PRO is introducing the exclusive Ranger’s Band, with 100% of proceeds going to LEAD Conservation.
These wristbands symbolise solidarity with wildlife rangers who risk everything to protect endangered species.

“Wearing the wristband means you’re standing with us. You’re standing with the rangers, the trackers, the teams who are out there every day making sure that wildlife protection wins,” Vos adds.
The campaign will be available across UF PRO’s social media channels and website, providing updates, behind-the-scenes insights, and ways to get involved.
