Progress is rarely linear. It is shaped by changing requirements, rising demand, and the need to deliver reliably under pressure. In 2025, Mehler Systems navigated this environment by focusing on what enables long-term performance: strong structures, scalable production, and the ability to translate complexity into dependable solutions.
Rather than a single defining milestone, the year was characterised by a series of decisions and investments that strengthened the group’s ability to respond to increasingly demanding programmes across military and law enforcement markets.
As demand for protective systems continued to grow, Mehler Systems focused on expanding capacity while maintaining consistency across the group. The acquisition of a majority stake in Stilmotor Extra Protection Srl (SXP) added specialised expertise in body armour and riot protection, broadening the group’s technological base.
At the same time, production capabilities were expanded through infrastructure investments, including a new production hall in Zrenjanin and upgrades to sewing operations. These steps were not only about volume, but about ensuring that quality, traceability, and delivery discipline could be maintained as output increased.
Testing and validation remained integral to this approach. Extensive internal ballistic testing, combined with certification shots and cooperation with specialised laboratories, supported continuous verification of performance across product categories.
Throughout 2025, product development across the group remained closely aligned with operational realities. Hundreds of new products were introduced across ballistic protection, load-bearing equipment, and tactical clothing, supported by an intensive prototyping phase that fed both series production and customer-specific programmes.
As production volumes increased, a significant milestone was reached: more than one million Mehler Systems protective vest systems are now in active use worldwide. This reflects long-term programme continuity rather than short-term demand, and underscores the importance of reliability over time.
Several major projects highlighted the group’s ability to execute at scale. The MOBAST programme for the German Armed Forces required rapid expansion of production capacity while meeting strict quality and delivery requirements. Completing the programme fully on time, with zero rejected units, demonstrated the effectiveness of the group’s structures under pressure.
2025 was also marked by leadership transitions and continued investment in people across the group. New appointments strengthened management structures, while additional employees and apprentices supported future growth.
Beyond production and development, Mehler Systems remained actively engaged with partners and users worldwide. Participation in international trade shows, partner events, and field-oriented initiatives provided opportunities for direct exchange and feedback, ensuring that development remains grounded in real-world use.
The experience of 2025 reinforced a clear understanding: sustainable growth depends on preparation, coordination, and the ability to deliver consistently. As Mehler Systems moves ahead, the focus remains on strengthening these foundations and supporting those who operate in environments where reliability is not optional.
