Your mission
- You will create and grade patterns for ballistic protective vests and protective gear, ensuring a good fit, ergonomics and comfort
- You will develop, maintain and archive patterns digitally using CAD pattern-making systems
- You will create model numbers, product-specific master data and bills of materials (BOM) in PLM/ERP and maintain these in consultation with production planning, textile engineering and purchasing
- You will contribute to the creation of work plans by providing pattern-making specifications and design guidance
- You will compile and maintain technical model documentation (measurement tables, tolerances, construction details), including optional technical drawings for tech packs and external manufacturers
- You will oversee the prototyping process, assess fit and workmanship, document results and implement any necessary changes
- You will further develop and keep up to date basic patterns and shapes for various product lines and styling concepts
Your profile
- You have completed an apprenticeship or degree as a patternmaker (m/f/d), head patternmaker (m/f/d), model maker (m/f/d) or hold a comparable qualification; alternatively, you are a master tailor (m/f/d) with extensive experience in industrial patternmaking
- You have professional experience in pattern making and grading, ideally in the clothing or textile industry; experience in workwear, PPE or military equipment is an advantage
- You have excellent knowledge of pattern making, grading, fit and industrial manufacturing processes
- You are proficient in using CAD pattern-making systems (Assyst or similar); experience with 3D software is desirable
- You communicate confidently across departments, particularly when coordinating fit and alteration requirements
- You have excellent German and English language skills and are willing to travel to production sites and suppliers
